Hazy and Lazy Slow Stitching Sunday from Life in the Scrapatch


Another nice day of slow stitching on my covered deck;
another embroidered leaf almost done.

It is hot and hazy and I am feeling lazy
but I am slowly stitching.


There are 64 background squares in this Schnibbles quilt top
completed Here in August, 2012. 
I have been slowly embroidering free form leaves since then.



Every year I take it out in August and add a few more leaves.
Then I get distracted by other projects or the weather turns to winter
and I put it away for another year.
Some year I will finish the embroidery and then quilt ...

Autumn is Coming from Life in the Scrapatch


I am looking forward to Autumn in New England 
and Fall Quilts. 

Today is the first day I have felt a touch of fall in the air.
Mr Scrapatch and I were outside early cleaning up the debris in our yard
 dropped by the wind and rain from Isaias.
We did not have any real damage,
just a lot of leaves and very small branches. 
It was as if Mother Nature decided to blow all the dead and broken twigs 
and such out of our trees
and onto our walk and driveway and yard for us to clean up.
